Bilingual journalist telling stories that bridge cultures and uncover how personal narratives reflect larger social, cultural, and political forces.

Available for freelance reporting, story assignments, and editorial collaborations.

I earned my Master’s in Bilingual Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in December 2024, where I developed a focus on narrative reporting and feature writing across English and Spanish. My work often centers on identity, migration, and belonging within Puerto Rico and its diaspora—stories that connect local realities to broader conversations across the U.S. and Latin America.

As an Investigative Reporting Fellow at the Center for Investigative Journalism of Puerto Rico (CPI), I led an in-depth project on language and identity among Puerto Ricans abroad. The bilingual investigation was published in March 2025 and later republished by The City and El Diario NY, extending the story’s reach to U.S. audiences.

La Sala Book Club is a bilingual literary project and interview archive exploring Latinx and diasporic culture through books, conversation, and community. Founded and hosted by journalist Valeria Morales, La Sala centers questions of language, memory, belonging, and creative practice across borders.

The project includes #LaEntrevista, an interview series featuring Latinx authors, artists, journalists, and translators. The inaugural episode features Afro-Puerto Rican poet, novelist, and scholar Mayra Santos-Febres, launching the series with a conversation on literature, identity, and creation.

La Sala Book Club launched in January 2026 and lives across YouTube, Instagram and Substack.

Between long runs and long reads, I’m usually plotting my next adventure—or my next bite of good food.
